Job summary

Cumberland County Guidance Center is seeking a Fee-for-Service LCSW or LPC to deliver outpatient behavioral health and substance use services in our Outpatient Department in New Jersey. The role emphasizes flexibility, autonomy, and evidence-based practice in a recovery-focused setting.

Ideal candidates have a Master’s in Social Work, current NJ LCSW/LPC licensure, and experience providing individual, family, and group therapy across telehealth and in-person formats.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or related field.
• Current New Jersey LCSW or LPC license.
• Experience with individual, family, and group therapy.
• Ability to provide telehealth and in-person counseling.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform behavioral health and mental health assessments.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy.
• Develop recovery-oriented treatment plans.
• Treat mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders.

What You'll Do

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Outpatient Therapist, you will provide behavioral health assessment, psychotherapy, counseling, and treatment services for individuals and families receiving outpatient mental health and substance use treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health and mental health assessments
• Provide individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy
• Develop and implement recovery-oriented treatment plans
• Treat individuals experiencing mental health disorders, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions
• Support clients in achieving treatment goals, emotional wellness, and long-term recovery
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation
• Provide both telehealth and in-person outpatient counseling services
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, case managers, and other behavioral health professionals

Required Qualifications

Education & Licensure

• Master's Degree in Social Work or another mental health-related discipline
• Current New Jersey Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) License or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) License

Experience & Skills

• Experience providing: Individual Therapy, Family Therapy, Group Therapy
• Experience treating mental health disorders, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and psychotherapy skills
• Ability to provide both telehealth and in-person counseling services
• Valid New Jersey driver's license with acceptable driving history

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as an Outpatient Therapist, Behavioral Health Therapist, Mental Health Counselor, or Clinical Social Worker
• Experience in community mental health settings
• Knowledge of evidence-based treatment practices, including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care
• Experience working with substance use disorders and dual-diagnosis populations
• Bilingual English/Spanish
