Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, environmental, physical or biological sciences.
• Entry-level position; prior laboratory experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Preparation, extraction, and clean-up of various environmental sample matrices
• Perform sample preparation where needed (i.e. homogenization)
• Use of centrifuge, analytical balance, and various evaporative systems with organic solvents
• Dispose of laboratory waste in a safe manner following prescribed procedures
• Maintaining clean laboratory areas
• Maintaining organized records of sample preparation and analysis
• Assisting the Group Leaders and analysts in acquiring and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation
• Dispose of laboratory waste in a safe manner following prescribed procedures
• Comply with Onterris Quality Assurance Program and other policies
• Comply with Onterris Health and Safety Plan
• Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab Director
