Job summary

Onterris is seeking a Prep Chemist for our El Dorado Hills, CA laboratory to prepare samples, support daily operations, and collaborate with teammates to deliver safe, accurate results on time. The role requires a Bachelor's in chemical, environmental, or biological sciences; entry-level candidates welcome.

You will work Monday through Friday with a standard LCMS schedule and flexible shifts preferred as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in the chemical, environmental, physical or biological sciences.
Entry-level candidates welcomed.
Knowledge of analytical methods and safety procedures preferred.
Willingness to work in a laboratory environment.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures.
Good organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare, extract, and clean up environmental sample matrices.
Perform sample preparation such as homogenization when needed.
Operate centrifuges, analytical balances, and evaporative systems with organic solvents.
Dispose of laboratory waste following prescribed procedures.
Maintain clean laboratory areas and organized records.
Assist Group Leaders and analysts with inventory of consumables, chemicals, and parts.
Comply with QA programs and health and safety plans.
Handle other duties as assigned by Lab Director.
