Assists patients in identifying psychological, personal, and environmental challenges related to substance use in order to achieve maximum therapeutic and functional capacity. Acts as a member of multidisciplinary mental health teams.
Hospital-based: High school diploma or G.E.D. required and one-year experience preferred. Additional educational and supervised clinical experience as required for LCDC licensure.
Licensed as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) by the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse.Licensure must be current at all times.
