Job summary

Argonne National Laboratory is seeking a research staff member to advance the GREET LCA model, including Python-based development, APIs, and UI integrations. The position requires hands-on expertise in LCA, process modeling, and collaboration with national labs and academia.

The Researcher will design modeling architecture for PyGREET, expand data schemas, build data pipelines, and deploy web-based interfaces while publishing results and presenting at conferences. Onsite in Lemont, Illinois.

Qualifications

• Experience in LCA, process modeling, or closely related areas.
• Extensive experience developing and deploying software using Python and LLMs.
• Experience interacting with sponsors and external collaborators.
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to lead projects and teams.

Responsibilities

• Advance and expand the GREET model and architecture.
• Develop Python-based tooling, APIs, and UI integrations for PyGREET.
• Build data ingestion pipelines and expand the GREET database.
• Collaborate with other national labs and academia; present results at conferences.
