Job Description: Layup Bottom End Assembly
Read ticket and understand door construction build. Slide/push/pull/pick up cull board on to lift table. Retrieve materials from glue spreader, use proper hand placement and procedures to direct materials to top end Layup builder, assemble doors by laying out skins on cupboards, and placing glued components onto skin properly by aligning components to customer spec and placing a new skin on top to finish door. Visual perception to use foot pedal to align lift table with transfer cart and ability to push door stack onto transfer cart.
Proficient at reading/interpreting tickets, quality specs, proper door construction, door types, core types, stile/rail/block types.
Read/interpret production tickets, perform visual quality checks, and comprehend build construction specs.
Little to no supervision, proper placement of components to match build construction, run from tickets, verify quality/quantity.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs on Hollow core and heritage specials line and up to 80 lbs on solid core and specials line, bending, twisting, stooping, excellent dexterity, must work at a fast pace and handle multiple parts that have glue on them. Strong eye/hand coordination. Standing for long continuous hours.
Constant attention to detail of build construction and accuracy of material placement. Focus on glue level on materials and hand placements.
Must work closely with feeder and another operator as a team.
Mildly controlled environment - can expect some cold and heat during extreme weather conditions. Mild dust environment.
