Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie in Stockton, CA seeks a Lay-out Tech to process special work orders, customer drawings and sketches. You will create 2D/3D Auto-CAD drawings for production and ensure BOMs maximize resources, while inspecting processes to maintain Simpson quality standards.

You will read engineering drawings, measure with tapes, rulers and calipers, and communicate with customer service and team members to improve production efficiency and quality. Some overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years related experience with Auto-CAD.
• Able to read and translate part prints to finished goods.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches and diagrams.
• Draw basic drafting designs in 2D & 3D using Auto-CAD.
• Plan work and use materials to maximize efficiency and quality.
