A leading aerospace manufacturer seeks a Layout Machine Shop A for the 1st shift. The role involves determining the dimensional integrity of machining processes and assisting machine operators. Candidates should have extensive machining experience, particularly including CNC operation, and the ability to work in compliance with ITAR regulations.
Job Title: Layout Machine Shop A - MTC (1st Shift) (Job Number: 332876)
Job Description: Lays out castings, forgings, billets, bar stock, tubing, and parts to determine the dimensional integrity of machining operations, especially where angles and close tolerances are involved.
Utilizes computerized equipment to program, receive, store, and disburse machining information. Communicates and verifies measurements.
Assists and instructs machine operators in performing machining operations on experimental, first run, tape-try, and production parts. Performs dimensional checks on machined parts and conducts random checks for dimensional accuracy. Works according to drawings, engineering orders, sketches, verbal instructions, templates, samples, and models.
Tools & Equipment Used: Coordinate measuring machines, computers, hand tools, precision measurement instruments, testing and alignment equipment, layout tools, gauges, surface tables, size and angle plates.
Experience & Requirements: Minimum of five years of high-skilled machining experience, including two years as an N/C and/or CNC operator. Must be skilled in advanced shop math and capable of programming, storing, and managing machining information using computerized equipment.
