Job summary

ONCORE Construction Consulting Group is seeking Layout Engineers to lead field layout on large commercial, industrial, and data center projects nationwide. You will execute precise layouts with robotic total stations and translate plans into benchmarks for accurate construction.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in heavy civil or commercial layout, a related degree, and willingness to travel to sites across the country. Competitive six-figure salaries, full benefits, and an ESOP welcome you.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field layout experience on heavy civil, industrial, or commercial projects.
• Proficiency with Total Station instruments (Trimble preferred).
• Ability to travel to sites nationwide.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Surveying, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-accuracy construction layout using robotic total stations for foundations, slabs, walls and embeds.
• Interpret civil, structural, and architectural plans to set benchmarks and control points.
• Perform as-built verifications, troubleshoot field discrepancies, and maintain layout records.
• Collaborate with superintendents, foremen and engineers to keep pours on schedule.

What You'll Do

• Field Precision: Execute high-accuracy construction layout using robotic total stations (Trimble, Leica, Topcon, Sokkia) for foundations, slabs, walls, and embeds.
• Blueprint Translation: Interpret civil, structural, and architectural plans to establish benchmarks and control points.
• Quality Assurance: Perform as-built verifications, troubleshoot field discrepancies, and keep layout documentation tight.
• Team Synergy: Partner closely with superintendents, concrete foremen, and project engineers to keep fast-paced pours on schedule.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of construction layout experience on heavy civil, industrial, or commercial concrete jobs.
• Hands-on proficiency with Total Station instruments (Trimble preferred).
• Ability to travel to project sites across the country.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Surveying, or equivalent hands-on field experience.
