Pay Rate :

• Location: Hamilton.
• Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience.
• Benefits after completing probation.

Job Duties :

This position involves performing daily maintenance tasks for Oakridge Landscape Contractors. It includes the use of various job-related equipment and is physically demanding outdoor work.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Ensure all necessary equipment is located, properly stored, or restrained within the trailer before leaving each site.
• Inspect all equipment to confirm they are greased, fueled appropriately, and in good working order.
• Work on projects maintaining a high standard of quality.
• Operate lawn mowers to maintain lawns in a neat and tidy appearance.
• Remove weeds from planting areas, pots, driveways, parking areas, etc.
• Pick up litter prior to mowing any area.
• Remove grass clippings from hard surfaces and planting areas.
• Trim shrubs and trees as required.
• Plant flowers and plants when needed.
• Ensure gasoline, mixed gas, or diesel are available on-site when using power equipment.
• Maintain positive and open communication with the Foreperson, Superintendents, Owners, PMs, General Contractors, etc.
• Complete various tasks assigned by the foreperson.
• Communicate daily with the foreperson and crew regarding tasks, schedules, and concerns.

Qualifications and Requirements :

• Industry experience is an asset, but training will be provided.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid G driver's license.
• Knowledge of proper mowing, trimming, edging, and weed removal techniques is an asset.
• Ability to work long hours in various weather conditions.
