About the position

The Lawn & Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader is responsible for efficiently, effectively, and safely leading a crew, performing mowing, bed maintenance, shrub trimming, and other similar services. This position also plays an important role in the company’s snow & ice management services in the winter.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with crew, Mechanic, leadership, and the office
  • Keep a clean, neat, organized, and well-maintained vehicle and equipment
  • Lead, supervise, and oversee crew members
  • Participate in company training
  • Train and develop crew members
  • Complete accurate and timely reporting
  • 24/7 availability during snow and ice management operations
  • Have a desire to learn and grow professionally and personally
  • Maintain a professional image and positive attitude when representing the company
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned to support the company

Requirements

  • Exemplify the company’s core values: pride, discipline, efficiency, flexibility, and resourcefulness
  • Sufficient education and/or experience to perform the necessary functions of the position
  • Able to safely and efficiently operate commercial mowing equipment, including ZTR mowers, stand-on mowers, walk-behinds, and handheld equipment
  • Able to safely and efficiently operate snow & ice management vehicles and equipment
  • Able to safely operate vehicle & trailer
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Able to successfully lead, supervise, and oversee lawn & landscaping maintenance crew
  • Able to train and develop crew members
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) or partial relevant fluency but not required
  • Able to safely handle the physical and mental demands of the job, with sufficient strength and endurance to perform assigned work

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly compensation: $18 - $22 based on experience
