Job summary

Georgia Ports Authority is seeking a dedicated lawn and landscape technician to maintain Garden City Terminal grounds, including mowing, edging, trimming, fertilizing, and weed control. You will help preserve plant health, beauty, and safety across outdoor spaces.

Under supervision, perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, and operate landscape equipment. Requires 4–6 years in landscaping, High School Diploma, TWIC, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of landscaping or grounds keeping experience.
• High School diploma required.
• TWIC and valid driver's license required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform mowing, edging, trimming, blowing, and weed control.
• Clean walkways, repair fountains, and other related duties.
• Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth.
• Remove weeds and dead plants to maintain landscape health and appearance.
• Trim overgrown limbs, hedges, and foliage.
• Apply pesticides to control insects such as mosquitoes, wasps, and ticks.
• Maintain landscaping design and support ongoing plant growth.
• Plant decorative bushes, flowers, plants, and shrubs to enhance aesthetics.
• Load and unload equipment and tools onto work vehicles safely.
