Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a Lawn Care Technician to fertilize and manage pests on lawns and shrubs, using spray and injection tools. You will educate customers on diagnoses and prescribed treatments, while maintaining lawn quality and coordinating with supervisors.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Required: Valid Driver's license.
• Preferred: Background in Lawn/Turf Care & Landscaping.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Qualified Lawn Care Tech training program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide, CDL and related licenses and certificates.

Responsibilities

• Fertilize lawns and shrubs using spray and injection tools.
• Apply weed control/herbicides/fertilizer and other treatments.
• Explain diagnosis and prescribed pest control and fertilization services to customers.
• Monitor lawn quality and adjust fertilizing methods after application; report progress to customers and supervisors.
• Drive, operate, and maintain company equipment (truck and sprayer).

Salary: $20 - $30 hourly (Depending on experience & certifications)

Position Overview

Performs fertilization and pest management on shrubs and lawns using spray and injection tools by performing the following duties.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Cultivate your career and fertilize your future!
• Properly applying weed control/herbicides/fertilizer and so much more.
• Communicate and educate the client regarding the diagnosis and the prescribed pest control, aerification and fertilization service(s) with customers.
• Continuously monitor lawn quality and fertilizing methods after application and communicate progress to customers and supervisors.
• Drive, use, maintain and properly operate equipment (truck and sprayer).
