Job summary

Flagship Communities is looking for a Lawn Care Technician to perform landscaping maintenance and seasonal snow duties at our communities. The role involves mowing, weed control, planting, irrigation checks, and general groundskeeping to ensure presentable properties and quality resident service.

Candidates should have HS education, outdoor-work capability, and a valid driver’s license. Experience in resort/hospitality lawn care is preferred along with the ability to lift 25 pounds and work

• Broad knowledge of general grounds maintenance techniques
• Ability to endure seasonal outdoor temperatures
• Valid driver's license
• Proficient with hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery

• Ability to work independently or in a team
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds

Responsibilities

• Empty trash, shovel, and perform maintenance or repair duties using blowers, mowers, drills, or other hand tools.
• Ensure lawns are manicured appropriately; weed control, weed whipping, raking leaves, planting flowers/shrubs, spreading mulch, trimming shrubs.
• Inspect irrigation system regularly and repair as needed.
• Pick up trash and debris from common areas and streets daily; empty trash containers as needed.
• Maintain community equipment.
• Report maintenance issues to manager.
• Ensure community is presentable per curb appeal standards.
• Safely operate vehicles for job duties.
• Follow safety procedures while performing duties.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Job description Lawn Care Technician

OVERVIEW

Lawn Technicians perform a variety of landscaping maintenance and snow removal duties (where applicable). They regularly mow lawns, weed, plant flowers, plow snow, remove debris from property grounds, and overall ensure our communities are well-maintained and look presentable. Lawn techs also work to ensure our residents and guests receive quality customer service. We also have full-time maintenance positions!

JOB DUTIES

• Empty trash, shovel, and perform maintenance or repair duties using blowers, mowers, drills, or other hand tools.
• Ensure lawns are manicured appropriately. Regularly treat weeds for weed control, weed whip, rake leaves, plant flowers/shrubs, spread mulch/woodchips/stones, trim shrubs, and hedges, cut and remove tree limbs damaged by adverse weather conditions, and perform other lawn care services as necessary.
• Inspect irrigation system regularly to ensure it is working properly; repair as needed.
• Pick-up trash and debris from common areas and streets on a daily basis. Empty common area trash containers as needed.
• Maintain community equipment.
• Report all community maintenance issues and concerns identified while performing daily duties to manager.
• Ensure Community is presentable at all times and adheres to Flagship Communities curb appeal standards.
• Safely operate vehicles for the purpose of performing job duties.
• Follow safety procedures while performing duties.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.

High School (some HS education required)

Previous lawn care experience in the resort/hospitality industry, preferred

Demonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general grounds maintenance techniques

Ability to endure seasonal temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work

Valid driver's license

Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery

Ability to provide legible written reports

Ability to work well independently as well as on a team

Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
