Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a Landscape Spray Technician in Needham, MA to perform fertilization and pest management on trees, shrubs, and lawns using spray and injection tools.

You will inspect landscapes at private, governmental, or business sites, identify issues, communicate recommended treatments, and operate the necessary sprayer equipment daily. This role is on-site with opportunities for growth and safety training.

Qualifications

• Love of outdoors and interest in landscape maintenance.
• Background in horticulture, landscaping, or related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of turf, weeds, and identification of trees and shrubs is preferred.
• Must obtain Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving certification upon hire.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and diagnose insects, weeds, fungi, and pest-prone areas.
• Educate clients about diagnosed issues and prescribed pest control, fertilization, aerification and seeding services.
• Monitor lawn quality and fertilizing methods and report progress to customers and supervisors.
• Drive and operate trucks and sprayers and maintain equipment.
