Job summary

SavATree is seeking a Lawn Care Specialist in Old Saybrook, CT to help clients achieve lush, healthy lawns. The role involves soil analysis, diagnosing turf conditions, applying treatments, and educating customers on care strategies.

You will work outdoors in an autonomous, safety-conscious environment and manage your own turf territory. Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years of lawn care experience, a turf-related degree (preferred), and a pesticide license or the ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Degree in Turf, Entomology, Plant Sciences, Horticulture or equivalent experience preferred.
• 1–2 years hands-on lawn care maintenance and turf application experience.
• Valid Pesticide/Herbicide Applicator's License or ability to obtain one.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and a valid driver's license (CDL a plus).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate equipment in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

As a Lawn Care Specialist, you will play an essential role in creating the lush, green lawns that our clients take pride in. A typical day may include:

About You

• A degree in Turf, Entomology, Plant Sciences, Horticulture, or equivalent experience (preferred)
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience in lawn care maintenance and turf application
• The ability to operate lawn care equipment and perform heavy lifting in all weather conditions
• Strong problem-solving skills and the independence to work autonomously
• Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills to communicate effectively with clients
• A valid Pesticide/Herbicide Applicator's License-or the ability to obtain one
• Authorization to lawfully work in the U.S.
• A valid driver's license (CDL a plus)

Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this role must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing these duties, employees may be required to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds and operate equipment in outdoor conditions.
