What You'll Do (Job Description)

As a Lawn and Landscape Maintenance Technician, you'll be instrumental in improving and maintaining outdoor spaces, working on a variety of tasks that include:

• Caring for the grass, trees, plants, and hedges by mowing, pruning, or trimming them as needed.
• Extracting and disposing of invasive plants and weeds
• Clearing the area of debris, dead plant material, and trash and dumping it appropriately.
• Handling and moving various materials such as mulch across job sites.
• Operating machinery including mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, and various small power tools.
• Storing equipment and supplies in a safe manner
• Informing your field supervisor of any problems or equipment malfunctions.
• Ensuring every job site is clean and organized, leaving it in better condition than when you arrived.
• Performing minor repairs of landscaping features.
• Working primarily day shifts, Monday through Friday, with occasional optional weekend work to make up for weather delays.
• Contributing to the team through other tasks as needed.

What You Bring (Minimum Requirements/Qualifications)

To be considered for employment and successful in this role, you'll need:

• To be 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent punctuality and a strong sense of reliability.
• A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• The physical ability to safely lift and carry up to 70 pounds and bend, lift, and stand for extended periods of time.
• The ability to pass a background check.
• Good self-presentation and strong customer service skills.
• A personal mobile device with data and the willingness to install and use a timekeeping application.
• The willingness to adhere to our company uniform and safety equipment policies (all provided).
• The willingness to participate in random drug testing.
• The ability to present valid proof of identity and employment eligibility.

Bonus Points (Preferred Qualifications)

While not required, the following skills and experience will be considered a plus and will factor into your starting wage:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in lawn care and maintenance.
• Experience with maintenance and clean up of plants, shrubs, trees, mulch, etc.
• Proficiency in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting outdoor power equipment (mowers, chop saws, trimmers, edgers, leaf blowers, etc.).
• Experience driving trucks up to one ton, with or without a trailer.
• Prior experience supervising crews of 2-6 technicians.
