Summary of Job Duties: The Law School In-Class Assistant performs tasks to aid students with the physical mechanics and dexterity requirements of classroom duties as well as other essential components of the course that a student may need support in completing. An In-Class Assistant only performs tasks directed by the student; they do not explain or interpret assignments/questions, and the result of their support should not influence or guide a student in any way. In-class assistants are provided for academic curriculum support only and may not provide personal assistance.

Due to the University of Arkansas’ restrictions on hours, no concurrent University employment.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be available to work during the student’s current class schedule

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current University of Arkansas student

  • Customer service experience

  • Familiar with University of Arkansas School of Law

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

  • Proven attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high traffic environment

  • Ability to respond to verbal instructions


Additional Information:

Hours are June 30 - July 30 Mondays and Wednesdays 2:45-6:15P.
