Job summary

Thrive Scholars is seeking a student-centered Career Coach to partner with the Career Pathway Director and Community Engagement Team, delivering tailored career coaching to Scholars pursuing Law School and professional programs. You will build strong relationships, provide internship and job placement guidance, and help students navigate admissions processes from a remote, nationwide setting.

You will work with the Career Pathway Director, travel up to two weeks for Summer Academy, and leverage

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent experience coaching students through law school admissions
• Minimum one year of professional experience
• Results-driven with the ability to adapt approach to achieve results
• Ability to build strong rapport with diverse college students
• Strong knowledge of legal career paths and the employment landscape
• Understanding of the college-to-career journey for first-generation and economically disadvantaged students
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Capacity to balance multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively
• Experience with Canvas LMS and Salesforce for documentation and reporting

Responsibilities

• Provide individual career coaching to Law Pathway students, focusing on exploration, road mapping, and internships
• Coach students virtually via video, phone, and email exchanges
• Develop internship and job opportunities with corporate partners to support law-related careers
• Deliver career development programming, events, and workshops using a learning management system
• Collaborate with the Career Pathway Director and Community Engagement team to ensure cohesive Scholar experiences
