Widener University’s Widener Law Commonwealth seeks a Law Library Director to provide strategic leadership and administrative oversight for the Law Library, supporting the instructional, scholarly, and research needs of faculty and students.

The position is tenure-track with expectations for excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service, including Bar Success leadership and collaboration with law faculty. Evening division classes are scheduled after 5:25pm.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution.
• Demonstrated ability to teach effectively in a law school environment.
• Evidence of scholarly potential consistent with tenure-track expectations.
• Strong administrative, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide vision and leadership for the Law Library aligned with the Law School mission.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for collections, research services, technology, space, and access.
• Oversee library policies and procedures and budget management.
• Ensure ABA accreditation standards compliance for library and research services.
• Teach legal research and collaborate with Legal Methods faculty.
• Supervise Library and Bar Success personnel; support Bar Success and student bar prep.
