KERA, the public media company of North Texas, is seeking a Law and Justice Reporter to join the KERA News team in Dallas. The reporter will cover civil and criminal law, public policy, and access to justice with a human-centered approach, focusing on accountability journalism.

Based in Dallas/Fort Worth, the role requires solid reporting, ability to sift through court records, and comfort reporting for radio and digital platforms. Hybrid work options and generous benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to quickly write, voice and produce radio and digital stories.
• Passion for accountability journalism and daily news.
• Demonstrated commitment to community representation in reporting and sourcing.
• Knowledge of Associated Press style and ethics.
