The Andersons, Inc. is seeking a Legal Department intern to assist with projects and day-to-day tasks. You will gain exposure to business and regulatory activities while supporting departmental objectives and ongoing initiatives.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a JD and are in their second year, with strong organizational and research skills. This internship offers learning opportunities and exposure to a broad agribusiness context.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Second year law student pursuing a JD strongly preferred.
  • 0-2 years' relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a foundational understanding of departmental operations, processes and business practices.
  • Support projects, research efforts and administrative activities as assigned.
  • Assist with collection, organization, review and maintenance of documents, records and information.
  • Create, review and maintain reports, presentations, spreadsheets, or other materials related to departmental initiatives.
  • Conduct research and summarize findings to support business, regulatory, operational, or strategic matters.
  • Collaborate with team members and business partners to support ongoing projects and learning opportunities.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by assisting with process documentation, organization, and workflow enhancements.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives that support departmental goals and priorities.
