Job summary

The Center for Family Representation Inc. (CFR) in New York is seeking Law Graduates to join CFR’s interdisciplinary legal teams to defend families and keep children out of the foster system. You will work with attorneys, social workers, paralegals and parent advocates to deliver high-quality representation.

You will pursue interim appeals, maintain case data, and participate in CFR’s policy initiatives. Eligible candidates have completed exams for the New York Bar and may have prior experience

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Experience or exposure to interdisciplinary representation preferred.
• Candidate must have completed all exams for New York Bar admission (pending).

Responsibilities

• Work as part of CFR’s interdisciplinary legal teams to provide high-quality legal defense and meet objectives.
• Represent parents in Family Court who are respondents in Article 10 and related proceedings.
• Pursue interim appeals on CFR’s clients.
• Maintain case data and client files.
• Contribute to CFR’s policy initiatives and collaborate with Home for Good teams.
