Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Recent law graduate studying for the Bar or awaiting results.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and sound professional judgment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research databases (Westlaw/LexisNexis).
• Prior legal internship or clerkship preferred but not required.
• Admission to the Michigan Bar required for transition to Associate Attorney.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on a variety of legal issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, discovery requests/responses, and other legal documents.
• Assist attorneys with case preparation and organize evidence and files.
• Review and analyze contracts and other materials.
• Assist with discovery and case management.
• Attend client meetings, depositions, and court proceedings as appropriate.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and others.
• Support case strategy and provide research under supervision.
