Kemper’s Law Clerk Intern Program in San Jose, CA offers students hands-on exposure to civil litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediations/arbitrations, and trial support. Local, ABA-approved law students in 2L/3L (or 4th year if part-time/JD/MBA) are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include drafting discovery responses, pleadings, and conducting legal research; role requires self-direction and strong communication.

• Must be a 2nd year or 3rd year law student (or 4th year law student if in a part time program or JD/MBA program) enrolled in an ABA-approved law school.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Energetic and eager to tackle new projects.
• Self-directed and able to work with little supervision.
• Interest in civil litigation, personal injury, and insurance.
• Hybrid position and may require work in the office once a month; local candidates only.
• Not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Kemper is looking for students who want to learn, work hard, and are willing to a make real-life impact on cases that will involve attorneys and paralegals.We deliver meaningful experiences in various areas of the litigation process like pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediations/arbitrations, trial, and may require work in the office once a month, therefore candidates need to be local.

The hourly rate for this opportunity is $30.00.
