Job summary

Kemper Corporation is seeking a law extern in Doral, FL to support civil litigation matters. You will assist with discovery responses, drafting pleadings, and coordinating with attorneys and clients.

Eligible students are 2nd or 3rd year law students (ABA-approved) and may participate part-time up to 25 hours per week. This hybrid role offers exposure to real-world litigation tasks and mentorship from experienced attorneys.

Qualifications

• Must be a 2nd or 3rd year law student enrolled in an ABA-approved law school.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and strong written/verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with attorneys.
• Interest in civil litigation and insurance defense.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with drafting discovery responses and pleadings.
• Research legal issues and perform factual background work.
• Support preparation for mediation/arbitration/trial and coordinate with clients.
