Job summary

SNS Law Group, LLP. represents landlords, property managers, and real estate investors throughout Southern California in unlawful detainer actions, rent stabilization compliance, and real estate litigation.

We are hiring a paralegal or law clerk to support our landlord-tenant team with immediate responsibility and direct work with attorneys. If you like structured, fast-paced work and seeing cases move from notice to judgment in weeks, this is the place for you.

Qualifications

Paralegal certificate, or current law student or recent graduate. We will train the right candidate on UD practice.
Familiarity with the California unlawful detainer process, the LA RSO, or local rent control ordinances.
Exceptional organization and attention to detail. In this practice area, a defective notice or a missed deadline restarts the entire case.
Strong written communication and a professional phone manner with clients and courts.
Proficiency with case management software and e-filing systems preferred.
Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a busy office without letting anything slip.

Responsibilities

Prepare three-day, thirty-day, and sixty-day notices and coordinate their service, the foundation every UD case is built on.
Draft unlawful detainer complaints, requests for entry of default, judgments, and writs of possession.
Handle e-filing with LA Superior Court, calendaring, and coordination with process servers and the Sheriff's Department.
Track statutory deadlines and maintain accurate case files and docket entries across an active caseload.
Communicate with clients, courts, process servers, and opposing parties, and keep clients informed of case status.
Assist attorneys with discovery, trial preparation, and document management.
