Job description

We are currently looking for a Facility Community Relations Specialist (LAUSD CM-FCRS-0525-33) for our contract with Los Angeles Unified School District.

This is an on-site, long-term job. You must be located in Southern California. NO relocation funds, and NO per diem.

Minimum Requirements
Required Experience/Skills:

Education

  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in public relations, community relations, urban planning, business administration, public administration or related field.

OR

  • Candidates who do not meet the education requirement may compensate with experience on a year-for-year basis for up to 2 years.

Experience

  • Minimum of four (4) years of full-time paid professional experience in a public or private agency related to community outreach activities, organizing outreach campaigns, and conducting field work for community-based organizations and groups.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Knowledge of public relations principles, current community issues, and local government structures.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to assimilate information from various sources.
  • Effective collaboration with diverse groups.
  • Compliance and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to design promotional materials.
  • Ability to prepare presentations.
  • A valid California Driver’s License for travel purposes.

Compensation:

The pay range is a good faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation depends on individual qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
