Job Summary

The Laurel Park Dolphins are looking for a passionate and dedicated Assistant Swim Coach to join our coaching team! In this role, you will work closely with the Head Coach and Head Group Coach to instruct and train swimmers, helping them refine stroke techniques and develop competitive racing strategies. You will also play a key role in fostering a positive team environment, engaging with swimmers and their families, assisting with evaluations, and ensuring effective practice sessions.

Normal Shift: Varies

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and leading instructional swimming programs.
  • Provide direct coaching and instruction to swimmers of varying skill levels.
  • Ensure a safe and positive environment during practices and meets.
  • Address inquiries, concerns, and feedback from swimmers and parents.
  • Assist in evaluating new swimmers and tracking attendance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility.
  • Stay up to date on best practices in swim coaching and aquatics.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to program development.
  • Assist in creating and implementing practice schedules and workouts.

Qualifications or desired qualifications:

  • High School graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Must be a current USA Certified Swimming Coach or obtain within thirty (30) days of employment.
