Job Description

The Laundry Worker is responsible for operating laundry equipment related to the finishing of flatwork and tumble-dried goods. The role includes cleaning and maintaining assigned areas to meet customer and client satisfaction. Additionally, the Laundry Worker folds, maintains, and provides cleaned linen to operations.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Receive, sort, and classify soiled linen.
  2. Operate automatic cart washer and remove linen carts from the washer exit.
  3. Operate flatwork ironer, small piece folders, and fold linen according to standards; process specialty items.
  4. Maintain quality control to ensure linens meet customer expectations; report issues to supervisor.
  5. Label and tag linen distribution carts and cover all linen carts prior to transport.
  6. Fold and store linen to uphold cleanliness standards.
  7. Assist truck driver in loading linen and materials.
  8. Inform supervisor of supply levels and quantities.
  9. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of the work area.
