Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a Laundry Worker/Linen Tech (Housekeeper) for full-time day shift. The role supports patient care by keeping patient rooms and facility areas clean and well supplied, ensuring linen services are delivered efficiently and safely.

You will join a dedicated hospital team that values service excellence, reliability, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred; basic computer skills are helpful.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or Equivalent preferred.
• Prior housekeeping experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills to enter patient room turnover.
• Works independently.
• Experienced in fast-paced healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

• Routinely cleans patient rooms in a timely manner after discharge.
• Cleans nursing units, offices, and common areas as assigned.
• Provides linen services throughout the facility.
• Maintains a safe cleaning environment with proper use of supplies.

Job Overview

Responsible for providing housekeeping services to provide a sparkling clean, hygienic and safe environment that is patient and family centered.

General Responsibilities

• Routinely cleans patient’s rooms in a timely manner after discharge of patients.
• May clean nursing units, surgical areas, offices, laboratory areas, waiting areas, public restrooms, and other areas as assigned.
• Responsible for providing linen services throughout the facility.
• Monitors the facility with a critical eye to catch those items that need cleaning and attention.
• Uses cleaning supplies and equipment as regulated to provide a safe cleaning environment.
• Must be able to work with cleaning supplies in a safe manner
• Able to multi-task with safety practices.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
