Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Per Diem Housekeeper in Bradenton, FL. The role involves maintaining a sparkling, hygienic environment for patients and families, including routine room cleaning and linen services. Schedule is varied and Per Diem status applies.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma (or equivalent) and prior housekeeping experience. Basic computer skills and the ability to work independently are preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills to enter patient room turnover.
• Works independently.

Responsibilities

• Routinely cleans patient’s rooms in a timely manner after discharge of patients.
• May clean nursing units, surgical areas, offices, laboratory areas, waiting areas, public restrooms, and other areas as assigned.
• Responsible for providing linen services throughout the facility.
• Monitors the facility with a critical eye to catch those items that need cleaning and attention.
• Uses cleaning supplies and equipment as regulated to provide a safe cleaning environment.
• Must be able to work with cleaning supplies in a safe manner
• Able to multi-task with safety practices.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
