The New Hampshire Veterans Home has a full-time, 1st shift vacancy for a Laundry Worker.

Proposed Schedule Includes

Varying weekday shifts from 4:00am - 3:00pm

Every other weekend (additional $2.00/hour)

Summary

Performs varied laundry work independently within a NH healthcare or home health facility. Oversees laundry area and related activities to ensure daily/weekly productivity and quality standards are met.

Your Experience Counts

Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Completion of eighth grade or its equivalent.

Experience: Six months' experience in a commercial or institutional laundry.

License/Certification: May be required to possess a valid drivers license in the state in which the employee resides, with appropriate endorsements required for the type of vehicle being operated.

Special Requirements

Must be able to work in environment of high temperature and humidity with exposure to minor injuries such as cuts, bruises, burns and slipping on wet floors. Personal Protective equipment may be worn for job-related occupational safety and health purposes.
