THIS IS A MULTIFILL POSITION*
Why does the job exist?
This position will provide laundry services such as washing, drying, ironing, and distribution of clothing and linen as it relates.
How does it get done?
As wash cycle comes to a complete, will assist to manually check each piece to sort the wet linen and clothing to designate which are to dry, which are to be pressed, and which are to be fed through the folder.

Ideal Candidate
Ideal candidate will have:
Experience marking and sorting laundry to ensure accurate distribution to specific units.
Experience sorting, marked, washed, dried, ironed, and folded laundry.
Experience using commercial laundry equipment.
Minimum Qualification
Eighth Grade Education.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an institutional laundry setting. This position will require the ability to lift and/or carry up to eighty (80) pounds with assistance. Extended periods of standing or mobility, and working in excessive humidity on wet slippery surfaces with steam operating machinery, and high pressure air operated equipment may be required. May be required to work weekends, holidays, over time and call back hours as needed. Effective 01/01/2015, the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute became a 100% Tobacco Free/E-Cigarette Free Campus. As such, no tobacco, tobacco products or E-Cigarette products are permitted on any part of the campus.
