Job Description

The Laundry Worker operates laundry equipment related to the finishing of flatwork and tumble-dried goods. The role involves cleaning and maintaining assigned areas to meet customer and client satisfaction. Additionally, the Laundry Worker folds, maintains, and provides cleaned linen to operations.

Job Responsibilities

1. Receives and sorts soiled linen into designated classifications.
2. Operates automatic cart washer and removes linen carts from the washer exit.
3. Operates flatwork ironer, small piece folders, and folds linen following standards; processes specialty items.
4. Ensures quality control, meeting the quality expectations of specific customers. Any issues should be referred to the lead or supervisor.
5. Labels linen distribution carts properly and covers all linen carts prior to transport.
6. Folds and stores linen to maintain cleanliness standards.
7. Assists truck driver in loading linen and materials onto the truck.
8. Informs the lead or supervisor of supply levels and quantities.
9. Maintains cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of the work area.
