Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. seeks a Laundry Worker to maintain clean linens and garments in a long-term care facility. You will sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute items, operate laundry equipment safely, and support daily resident comfort.

Ideal applicants have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and can lift up to 50 lbs. COVID vaccination policies and strong communication with staff and residents are required. Training is provided, with benefits and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous laundry experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of laundry activities and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions to ensure a clean environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests while providing good service.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous laundry experience is preferred but not required.
• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to work around cleaning products.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions, and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
• Residency within the service area required
