Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Laundry Worker to help maintain clean linens and clothing for residents in a long-term care setting. You will sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute laundry and operate equipment safely, while delivering courteous service to residents and staff.

Prior laundry experience is preferred but not required. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and you must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work around cleaning products.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.

• Maintain records of laundry activities and report maintenance or safety issues to supervisor.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff and guests, delivering excellent service.

• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry experience is preferred but not required.
• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to work around cleaning products.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions, and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
• Residency within the service area required
