Job Title: Laundry Worker

Location: New Hampshire Veterans Home, 139 Winter St, Tilton, NH 03276

Pay Range: $14.40/hr - $18.46/hr (base pay, additional shift differentials may apply)

Position Details

The Veterans Home has a full-time, first shift vacancy for a Laundry Worker. The proposed schedule includes varying weekday shifts from 4:00 am to 3:00 pm, every other weekend (additional $2.00/hour), and rotating holidays. Responsibilities

• Perform laundry duties including sorting, washing, stain removal, folding, and delivery of linens and garments.
• Ensure cleanliness of work areas and proper operation of laundry equipment.
• Operate laundry machinery safely and perform basic maintenance.
• Lift and carry heavy laundry items safely, following infection control protocols.
• Maintain supplies and ensure proper handling of cleaning solutions.
• Represent the institution courteously and assist in training new staff or volunteers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Completion of eighth grade or equivalent.
• Six months experience in commercial or institutional laundry.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Physical and Special Requirements

• Ability to work in high temperature and humidity environments with potential minor injuries.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules.
