Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Laundry Worker to maintain linens and garments for a long-term care facility. You will help ensure clean, available textiles and deliver courteous service to residents and staff.

The role includes operating laundry equipment, following infection control policies, and performing related duties. This entry-level position offers on-site work and opportunity for training and development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, push/pull 50 pounds, stand/sit/bend/walk for extended periods.
• Residency within the service area required.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions, and perform routine tasks daily.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of laundry activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to work around cleaning products.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions, and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
• Residency within the service area required
