Key duties include sorting laundry, operating industrial washing machines, treating stains, and returning cleaned items to the correct rooms or linen closets. The role is crucial for maintaining a clean, comfortable, and hygienic environment for residents.

Core responsibilities

• Sorting and washing: Collect and sort soiled linens, garments, and other laundry items. Wash, dry, and fold these items following proper procedures.
• Distribution: Deliver clean linens, towels, and residents' personal clothing to their correct rooms or designated storage areas.
• Personal clothing care: Handle residents' personal laundry with care, ensuring it is returned neatly (e.g., hung in closets and placed in drawers).
• Infection control: Follow strict cleanliness standards to prevent the spread of infection.
• Equipment and supply maintenance: Operate and maintain laundry equipment, and report any needed repairs to a supervisor. Monitor and inform the supervisor when supplies are running low.
• Cleaning: Keep the laundry area clean and tidy, which may include cleaning sorting and soiled linen tubs and floors.

Additional duties
