Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Laundry Worker to maintain clean linens and garments for residents in a long-term care facility.

Join our team to operate laundry equipment safely, follow infection control policies, and provide friendly service to residents and staff. No prior laundry experience required, but a positive attitude and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior laundry experience is not required.
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents, staff and leadership.
• Willingness to follow infection control policies.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of laundry activities and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Follow infection control policies to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff and guests, delivering courteous service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry experience is preferred but not required.
• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to work around cleaning products.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions, and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
• Residency within the service area required
