Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Laundry Worker to join our team in a long-term care facility. You will collect, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and garments, and operate laundry equipment safely while maintaining infection control standards.

You will interact positively with residents and staff, document laundry activities, and follow safety policies. Prior laundry experience is preferred but not required, and a high school diploma is acceptable; residency in the

• Previous laundry experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Residency within the service area required.
• Must be able to work around cleaning products.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of laundry activities and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.

• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to work around cleaning products.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions, and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
• Residency within the service area required
