Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc in Lewisburg, WV is hiring a Laundry Worker to keep linens and garments clean and available for residents in a long-term care facility. You will operate laundry equipment safely, follow infection control standards, and support a respectful, resident-focused environment.

No prior laundry experience is required, but a positive attitude and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are important.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of laundry activities and report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to work around cleaning products.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions, and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
• Residency within the service area required
