Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc is seeking a Laundry Worker to maintain the cleanliness and availability of linens and garments in a long-term care facility. You will operate laundry equipment safely, sort, wash, dry, and distribute laundry, and interact with residents and staff to provide excellent service.

No prior laundry experience is required, but a high school diploma is preferred. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work around cleaning products, and comply with COVID-19 vaccination

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry experience is preferred but not required.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to work around cleaning products.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of laundry activities and report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
