Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Laundry Transport Aide to safely and promptly transport laundry to Health Care Centers and the laundry facility. You will also assist with other facility trips as needed by supervision. A valid unrestricted driver’s license is required.

On-the-job training will be provided; prior driving/delivery experience is preferred. The role emphasizes a professional appearance and strong communication with residents, patients, and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license in state of employment.
• On-the-job training provided; prior driving/delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drives the loaded delivery truck on the designated route.
• Stops and delivers cleaned laundry to the facility / residents.
• When finished with deliveries, returns on the same route to pick up soiled laundry.
• Returns to the laundry facility to unload the truck.
• Parks the truck at the end of the work shift.

Description

Job Purpose:

Provide safe and timely transportation of laundry to and from Health Care Centers and laundry facility. In addition the transportation aide will assist in other trips for the facility as deemed necessary by the supervisor, administrator or designee

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drives the loaded delivery truck on the designated route.
2. Stops and delivers cleaned laundry to the facility / residents.
3. When finished with deliveries, returns on the same route to pick up soiled laundry.
4. Returns to the laundry facility to unload the truck.
5. Parks the truck at the end of the work shift.

• Communicates well with patients/residents/clients and family members providing warm and friendly greeting and an approachable attitude to families, visitors, patients/residents/clients and responds to expressed concerns while displaying a helpful, caring demeanor

Qualifications

Min Education Required:
