Job summary

Laundry Technician II at Health & Human Services Comm in Carlsbad, TX, provides safe operation of commercial laundry equipment within a state-operated facility. The role supports soil sort, washes, dryers, folding, and delivery of linens while upholding infection control and safety standards.

You will work under the supervision of the Laundry Manager, potentially weekends/holidays, and must have a valid Texas driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of commercial laundry operation, equipment, laundering techniques and procedures.
• Ability to safely operate commercial laundry equipment.
• Ability to lift and carry 40-50 pounds.
• Ability to sort, weigh and fill orders.
• Follows safety rules and infection control procedures.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate CBW, presses, dryers and related laundry equipment.
• Oversee soil sort and clean processing areas.
• Sort, fold, and deliver linens and clothes.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to safety standards.
• Assist with load/unload and inventory of laundry orders.
• Attend mandatory HHSC/ABSSLC training.
