Job summary

Continuum Long-term care is seeking a dedicated laundry attendant in Sister Bay, Wisconsin. The role focuses on laundering and housekeeping duties aligned with facility policies and regulations.

You will handle soiled linen, operate washers/dryers, and transport clean linen to resident rooms. On-site training is provided, and a supportive team environment is emphasized within the facility.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, resident, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Develop and maintain a good working rapport with intra-department personnel, as well as other departments within the facility to assure that environmental services can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the residents.
• Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the department.
• Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disables, elderly, emotionally upset residents in the facility.
• Report all hazardous conditions/equipment to the Supervisor immediately.
• Report all accidents/incidents as established by department policies.
• Wear protective clothing and/or equipment when handling infectious waste and/or blood/body fluids.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all resident’s care information.
• Attend and participate in in-services, workshops, seminars, etc. as directed.

• Clean and sanitize work area daily including machines, work tables and sorting area.
• Maintain laundry machines and carts in a aseptic condition.
