Job summary

Crestmoor Care Center is seeking a Laundry Specialist to perform day-to-day laundry operations for residents in a long-term care setting. You will help ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary facility by managing linens and clothing, following all applicable standards, and supporting the care team with timely service.

Responsibilities include sorting, washing, drying, folding, and stocking, while maintaining accurate records and following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, an 8th grade education.
• On-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily laundry schedules and coordinate services with nursing staff when performing routine assignments.
• Sort unwashed articles by color and fabric and track all items collected.
• Load and unload washers and dryers; wash, fold, and place clean articles on racks by units.
• Clean floors and walls; maintain clean and safe laundry areas and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing clothing items and supply usage.
• Adhere to safety procedures when handling chemicals and protective equipment.
• Attend in-service training and participate in ongoing education related to facility operations.
