Job summary

OTO Development is seeking a Laundry Team Member to support the Housekeeping Department. You will operate washing and drying equipment, load and unload textiles, and follow formulas to treat and launder items.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety, and delivering quality guest experiences. Based at our hotel properties in Florida, duties include folding, sorting, transporting linens, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate washing and drying equipment according to procedures.
• Load and unload textiles from machines.
• Measure and apply cleaning agents per formulas provided.
• Monitor washers and ensure drums are full; report irregularities.
• Set drying and cooling times for different linen types.
• Clean machines and surrounding areas; sort linen and terry items.
• Pre-treat stains as needed; fold linen and terry per property specs.
• Transport linen within laundry area and to storage areas.
• Follow hotel safety requirements for supplies, equipment and facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor

What will you be doing most days?

• Operate washing and drying equipment
• Load and unload textiles from machines
• Measure and administer cleaning agents to laundry according to formulas provided
• Monitor feeder information on washers, make sure all drums are full, and report any irregularities to immediate supervisor
• Set the proper drying and cooling times for different types of linen
• Clean machines and surrounding areas
• Sort linen and terry items
• Pre-treat items for stains as needed
• Fold linen and terry according to property specifications
• Transport linen and terry within the laundry area and to linen storage areas within the hotel
• Comply with hotel safety requirements for supplies, equipment, and facilities
• Other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor

Physical Requirements For This Position

This position will require little to no travel outside the property and surrounding areas.
