Job summary

The Village at Summerville is seeking a highly skilled Laundry Specialist to join our team and create a warm hospitality experience for residents, staff and visitors in Palmetto Park, South Carolina. You will wash and dry resident laundry and linens, transport soiled items, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of related laundry or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Valid South Carolina driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Wash and dry residents' personal laundry as needed.
• Wash and dry linens for residential and health services areas.
• Pickup soiled linens and transport to the laundry room in a covered container.
• Keep washers and dryers clean daily.
• Keep laundry carts neat and covered.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by washing hands, wearing gloves and safety goggles as required.
• Separate soiled laundry sheets, towels, rags, etc., and clean/ disinfect linen carts daily.

What you will do:

• Wash and dry personal laundry of residents on as needed basis
• Wash and dry linens for residential and health services area

• The job will also, but not limited to, Separate soiled laundry sheets, towels, rags, etc. and clean and disinfect linen carts daily.
